Social Ride
Is the FOG ride a chatty ride? That probably depends on who you ask. The first part of the ride where we hold the speed to 30 kph until Lockport is the more social part of the ride. Arlene Woodcock will tell you we sound like a gaggle of geese and she can hear us coming from a mile away. It will depend on the rider though. For some, 30 kph is a challenge and chatting isn't an option. After Lockport things change. Most FOG members are busy people with multiple commitments. Time is in short supply and the object of the Saturday ride is to come away feeling that they've managed to get a good, hard ride in. They'll be riding at a pace where conversation isn't comfortable. Come join us in the restaurant after the ride though and you'll find a great post ride meal and great conversation.
